Automotive window tint film

LUNOX produces automotive window tint film in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, on the same production lines that supply Hyundai and Kia OEM glazing programs. The automotive range covers ceramic, carbon, and hybrid chemistries across 23 SKUs, and ships wholesale to tint shops, distributors, and private-label brands in more than 20 countries.

Three chemistries, three price tiers

A tint shop's shelf has to serve three different customers: the flagship install, the mid-market daily driver, and the price-driven walk-in. The LUNOX automotive range is organized around that split.

  • Nano Ceramic (Supreme / Max / Plus) — the flagship shelf. Metallic-free ceramic particles reject IR without touching signals. Supreme is the halo line, with up to 98% IR and 90.4% TSER. Max is the workhorse, holding 92–94% IR at every VLT. Plus brings ceramic performance to a mid price.
  • Nano Carbon (Max / Plus) — matte-finish, color-stable carbon particles with no purple fade and no signal interference. In most partner networks this is the volume seller.
  • Hybrid Titan-X — a Gen-6 nano-matrix with embedded metal ions, self-stabilizing against oxidation. The entry-performance tier, still with 99% UV and a genuine heat-rejection number.

Below Supreme, Nano Ceramic Max holds 92–94% IR across six VLT tiers (5% to 70%), and Nano Ceramic Plus covers the mid price point at 77–86% IR. The full spec grid for all 23 automotive SKUs is on the product catalog.

Why connected vehicles changed the spec

A modern vehicle carries GPS, 4G/5G antennas, keyless entry, tire-pressure monitoring, toll transponders, and radar-based driver assistance, and much of it is routed through or near glass. Metallized films attenuate those signals by 6–20 dB. Automotive OEM programs have specified metallic-free chemistry for years for exactly this reason, and the entire LUNOX automotive range, across ceramic, carbon, and hybrid, measures 0 dB attenuation.

Details installers notice

  • Heat-shrink behavior. Dimensionally stable PET that shrinks predictably on compound-curved rear glass, without banding or post-shrink haze.
  • Consistent dye lots. Haze, VLT, TSER, and adhesion are laser-checked continuously on every roll rather than batch-sampled, so late rolls in a run measure the same as the first ones.
  • Clean release liner. Uniform release force, so large back-glass pulls don't pre-stretch the film.
  • Slitting options. Standard 152 cm × 30 m rolls, with 51 cm, 76 cm, and 102 cm slit widths available on volume programs for side-glass efficiency.

What buyers typically ask next

Which film chemistry should a tint shop stock for automotive work?

For modern connected vehicles, ceramic is the usual default. Its metallic-free construction means no interference with GPS, 5G, keyless entry, tire-pressure sensors, or ADAS radar. LUNOX Nano Ceramic covers three price tiers (Supreme, Max, Plus). Carbon is the volume seller for matte-finish, color-stable work at a mid price point, and Hybrid Titan-X covers the entry-performance segment. Most distributors stock all three tiers so their shops can serve walk-in, mid-market, and flagship installs from one shelf.

What IR rejection do LUNOX automotive films reach?

Nano Ceramic Supreme rejects up to 98% of infrared (CS 3595), with TSER up to 90.4% at the darkest tier. Nano Ceramic Max holds 92–94% IR across all six VLT tiers. Nano Ceramic Plus delivers 77–86% IR at the mid price point. Nano Carbon Max reaches 56–59% IR, and Hybrid Titan-X 32–34%. All lines block 99% of UV.

Are LUNOX films safe for vehicles with GPS, 5G, and ADAS?

Yes. The ceramic, carbon, and hybrid automotive lines are all metallic-free, measuring 0 dB of signal attenuation. That covers GPS, cellular (4G/5G), keyless entry, toll transponders, tire-pressure monitoring, and radar-based driver assistance. It is the same constraint automotive OEMs write into their specs, and the reason the Hyundai and Kia programs ship ceramic film.

What does OEM heritage mean for aftermarket buyers?

LUNOX supplies window film to Hyundai and Kia OEM glazing programs. OEM qualification requires production in ISO Class-7 cleanrooms with continuous laser optical QC, where haze, VLT, TSER, and adhesion are checked on every roll rather than batch-sampled. Aftermarket rolls run on the same lines to the same spec. For a distributor, the practical result is dye lots that stay consistent from order to order.

What's the MOQ for wholesale automotive tint film?

500 rolls for a first order, with distributor pricing from 2,000 rolls. Standard roll size is 152 cm × 30 m (60 in × 100 ft). Private-label programs, with your brand on the film, core, and packaging, start at 500 rolls per SKU. Custom-spec runs start at 2,000 rolls per SKU. Lead time is 4–6 weeks on stock, plus 2–3 weeks for custom packaging.

Can we put our own brand on the film?

Yes. Private label is the core of the LUNOX B2B program: your logo on the release-liner print, roll core, box, and spec cards, with warranty certificates issued in your brand's name. Many partners start with the ceramic line under their own brand and add carbon and PPF as their shop network grows.

Does LUNOX supply shrink-friendly films for complex curved glass?

Yes. The automotive lines are engineered for heat-shrinking on compound-curved rear windshields, using dimensionally stable PET that shrinks predictably without banding or hazing. Installer feedback from Korean tint chains feeds directly into the production spec.

What warranty backs LUNOX automotive film?

A 10-year color-stability warranty on the ceramic lines, covering purple shift, delamination, edge peel, and adhesive failure. Carbon and hybrid lines carry the same structural warranty terms at their tier. For private-label partners, the warranty is issued under the partner's brand.
