What hybrid window film actually is
Hybrid film combines two chemistries to combine the strengths of each. In LUNOX Titan-X, metal ions are chemically bonded into a ceramic nano-particle matrix — not deposited as a discrete metal layer on the PET substrate. That structural distinction matters over decades: there's no metal layer to oxidize when the encapsulating adhesive fails, no metal-to-PET interface to delaminate under thermal cycling.
Sputter film's failure mode over the long term is metal-layer degradation — usually preventable with good installation but never fully eliminable. Titan-X eliminates it by removing the discrete metal layer as a concept.

- Above-ceramic IR performance with signal transparency required.
