What is sputter window film?

Sputter film is window film with multi-layer reflective metal coatings (silver, titanium, copper) deposited via magnetron sputtering onto optical-grade PET. It rejects infrared heat at the glass surface rather than absorbing it, keeping interiors cooler than ceramic films.

How is LUNOX sputter film different from nano-ceramic film?

Nano-ceramic absorbs heat then re-radiates it into the room. Sputter reflects infrared at the glass before it enters, keeping interiors up to 14°C cooler than industry benchmarks. Sputter is the standard for landmark architectural glazing; nano-ceramic dominates automotive and signal-sensitive applications.

Where is LUNOX film manufactured?

LUNOX is manufactured in Gyeonggi-do, Korea, on the same ISO Class-7 cleanroom lines that supply Hyundai, Kia, and SKC. 30 years of continuous production.

Does LUNOX offer OEM and white-label?

Yes. White-label production from 500 rolls upward with custom specs, packaging, and core branding. Currently 10+ active OEM supply contracts spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

What is the warranty on LUNOX films?

10-year warranty on flagship Nano Ceramic and Sputter lines. Color-neutral across the 30–70% VLT range — no color shift, fade, or delamination over the life of the film.

Does sputter film block 5G or GPS signals?

Sputter film can attenuate cellular and GPS signals because of its metal layers. For signal-sensitive applications (automotive, hospitals, offices with embedded antennas) LUNOX recommends the Nano Ceramic or Nano Carbon lines — both are metallic-free and signal-friendly.

What VLT (light transmission) options does LUNOX offer?

VLT ranges from 1% (Total Privacy) to 70% (clear protective). Most architectural projects spec 30%–50% VLT; automotive interior tints typically 5%–35% depending on local regulations.

How much heat does LUNOX nano-ceramic reject?

Up to 93.9% infrared rejection on the Nano Ceramic Max series, with total solar energy rejection (TSER) up to 82.5%. UV blocked is 99% across all lines, protecting interior fabrics and skin.

Is LUNOX film safe for laminated or tempered glass?

Yes. LUNOX films are tested for thermal stress on annealed, tempered, and laminated glass. Sputter films include heat-absorption guidance for darker glazings; installer training is provided with every B2B order.

Can I get sample swatches before ordering?

Yes. Sample kits with VLT/IR/TSER cards plus a representative roll sample are available to specifiers and dealers. Request via the Inquiry page.

What is the lead time for OEM orders?

Standard OEM lead time is 4–6 weeks for orders of 500–5,000 rolls. Custom packaging and branding adds 2–3 weeks. Expedited production available for existing dealer accounts.

Does LUNOX make security and safety film?

Yes. 11 SKUs across clear and tinted security films, 2 mil through 12 mil. Ballistic-tested formulations and impact-resistant constructions for government, retail, banking, and residential safety applications.

What roll sizes are available?

Standard rolls are 152 cm × 30 m (60-inch × 100-foot). Custom widths from 90 cm to 183 cm available on OEM orders. Slit widths down to 30 cm offered for retail dealer programs.

Has LUNOX film been used on the Lotte World Tower?

Yes. LUNOX sputter film is installed on the 555 m Lotte World Tower curtain wall (Seoul, the world's 6th tallest building) and across Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and 2 glazing.

How do I become an authorized LUNOX dealer?

Submit a dealer inquiry via the Inquiry page with your country, target verticals (automotive / commercial / residential), and projected annual roll volume. Authorized dealers receive co-branded marketing, installer training, and tiered pricing.

Can I put my own logo and brand on the window film?

Yes — that's the core of the LUNOX private-label program.
